The Brant Advocate – Fifteen years ago, I moved to Brantford. My father lived in Eagle Place with his girlfriend and so this was really the only section of Brantford I had ever visited. I got an apartment in Slovak Village, … and thought it was a steal at around $700 a month. I was from Cambridge and paid quite a bit more for a place in Galt. Slovak Village holds back-to-school event

Brantford Expositor – Children at Slovak Village were able to get back to school haircuts thanks to volunteers from several local salons. They also received backpacks, school supplies and clothing donated by various local community agencies and churches. A bouncy-castle carnival, barbecue and even a fix-it table where broken times could be repaired were also part of the event. READ MORE

Slovak Village is a private non-profit housing corporation that was formed in 1994 to provide affordable housing to residents of Brantford and Brant County. There are 150 apartments (1, 2 & 3 bedrooms) in the building. Some units are handicapped accessible units.

Slovak Village Board of Directors and staff held a town hall meeting for all residents in the Mary Klas room on: Thursday, June 20th, 2024. Several tenants, staff and Board were in attendance. During the
